If you have spent any significant amount of time down on the surface in Arc Raiders, you already know the drill: getting back to Speranza with a full inventory is great, but getting back with a rare blueprint is what actually moves the needle for your build. With 75 total blueprints currently dictating our crafting capabilities, unlocking the right gear can feel like a massive hurdle if you are just wandering around looting blindly.

Here is the most important thing you need to understand early on: finding rare schematics isn't about memorizing fixed, guaranteed coordinates on a map. Instead, the game's drop logic relies heavily on specific container types, active map conditions, and high-density looting zones. If you target your runs based on what you actually need, you can cut down on the RNG grind significantly. This guide breaks down exactly how to target specific item pools, choose the best farming routes, and exploit environmental modifiers to complete your collection efficiently.

Blueprint Drop Pools by Container Type

Stop opening every random box hoping for a miracle. The game categorizes its blueprint drops into distinct container pools. If you are hunting for a specific item type, you should focus your attention exclusively on the boxes meant to hold them:

• Weapons & Gun Parts: Focus your attention on Raider Containers. This includes dedicated weapon boxes, ammo boxes, and scattered duffel bags. If you are chasing high-profile weapon schematics like the Anvil or the Venator, these are your primary targets.
• Medical Blueprints: Look out for Medical Containers. You will find these most often in clinical or residential settings, specifically looking like white pullout drawers, blue drawers, and white bins. If you need to craft essentials like the Vida Shot, Vida Spray, or the Defib, stick to these.
• Augments: These are tucked away inside Security Containers. Keep your eyes peeled for green lockers, security desks, and those compact 1x1 metal containers. Occasionally, you can also pull them from blue medical drawers, but security areas are your best bet.
• Explosives: Industrial Containers are what you want here. Breachable crates fall into this category and are the prime source for tools like Jolt Mines and Explosive Mines.
• Utilities: Electrical Containers hold the keys to your utility crafting, so make sure to check fuse boxes and maintenance panels during your rotations.
  
  

Top Farming Locations Across All Maps

To maximize your efficiency per raid, you want to drop into high-density zones where these container types are tightly clustered together. Packing more opens into a shorter window minimizes your exposure to enemy squads and raises your statistical odds of a rare drop.

1. Stella Montes

• Loading Bay Upper Floor: Right outside the main loading bay, take the stairs all the way to the top level where the red breach lockers sit. The two breachable containers in the central corridor right outside have exceptionally high spawn rates and are always worth a look if you are in the area.
• Fourth Floor Security Checkpoint: If you manage to get your hands on a Stella Montes Security Checkpoint Key, head straight here. The small office rooms on this floor are incredibly dense with security containers, making them an absolute goldmine for high-tier Augment blueprints.
  
  

2. Dam Battlegrounds

• Ruby & Pale Apartments: Situated in the northwest sector of the map, these residential structures feature an incredibly tight concentration of cupboards, filing cabinets, and household drawers. It is a fantastic spot for a quick, dense looting run.
• Research & Administration Building: Head straight to the top floor of this complex. Your goal here is to open literally every desk drawer across the office grid. This specific route has a reputation for yielding excellent drop rates for rare utility items, including the Snap Hook.
• East Broken Bridge Sidewalks: Climb up onto the side pathways of the dam and look for barricaded doors. Breach them to gain access to high-tier chests. Be incredibly careful here, though—this is a notorious bottleneck, and opposing players love to camp the angles.
  
  

3. Buried City

• Plaza Rosa Pharmacy: Let's be clear—this is a dangerous PvP hot spot, and you will likely have to fight for it. But if you can clear the area, check every single shelf and medical crate. It is highly lucrative for attachments and legendary weapon pieces.
• Grandioso Apartments: An excellent alternative for high-tier loot with a bit more cover. Multiple players in the community have reported pulling the elusive Tempest and Wolfpack schematics from the brown dresser drawers scattered throughout these rooms.
  
  

4. Blue Gate

• Underground Security Wing: Head down near the zip line and breach the locked doors. The rows of green lockers down here are widely considered by the community to be the absolute best source for tracking down the highly coveted Survivor Looting Blueprint.
  
  

Map Conditions & Event Exploits

Once you know where to look and what boxes to open, the final step to beating the RNG is understanding map multipliers. The game uses active environmental modifiers to shift base drop logic, and you can easily tilt the scales in your favor if you time your deployments right.

• The Electromagnetic Storm Event: This is hands down the single best conditional modifier for blueprint farming in the game. Drop rates for rare and exotic schematics spike drastically during an active EM Storm compared to standard daytime raids. If you see this event live, drop what you are doing and queue up immediately.
• Nighttime Raids over Daytime: If there are no major weather events active on the map selection screen, always prioritize deploying at night. Recent patches have subtly lowered the daytime drop percentages for rare items, whereas night raids still retain a significantly higher blueprint spawn rate, especially within residential containers.
• Map-Condition Exclusives: Keep in mind that certain specific schematics are entirely hard-locked behind rare weather states or environmental puzzles. For instance, getting the Bobcat schema requires the "Locked Gate" condition to be active on Blue Gate. Similarly, legendary weapons like the Equalizer or Jupiter require you to complete specialized world puzzles while a Harvester Event is actively tearing up the map.
